COMM. ROSEMARY MUKOGO

Commissioner Mukogo is a seasoned leader with over three decades of experience in both strategic and operational roles. She rose through the ranks in public service, starting in the Ministry of Trade and Commerce and ultimately serving as Under Secretary in the Ministry of Environment and Tourism. Her operational expertise includes managing complex stakeholder relationships during the development of the Robert Mugabe International Airport and leading the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) as interim CEO and Director of Research.

Commissioner Mukogo has served on seven boards, including the Zimbabwe Newspapers Group, Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, and the Forestry Commission. Her contributions spanned diverse committees (Finance, Legal, Risk, HR, Audit), and she demonstrated leadership through board committee chairmanships and chairing the full Forestry Commission board.

Beyond Zimbabwe, Commissioner Mukogo founded and runs the successful Green Tourism Services (GTS) consultancy, advising organizations like NEPAD, RETOSA, and the World Bank across Africa.

In 2022, she was appointed Commissioner of the Public Service Commission of Zimbabwe. This pivotal role allows her to ensure a competent, efficient, and impartial public service. She oversees appointments, service conditions, disciplinary matters, and performance standards, directly contributing to the nation's well-being.
