The National Prosecuting Authority is one of two institutions that are mandated to fight corruption in Zimbabwe. The establishment and functions of the National Prosecuting Authority are provided for in terms of section 258 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe.
The National Prosecuting Authority is responsible for instituting and undertaking criminal prosecutions on behalf of the State and discharging any functions that are necessary or incidental to such prosecutions.
